BLACK RIDGE SMALL BATCH BOURBON

WORDS BY RICK SCOTCH

How about some bourbon? This one is decent and a pretty solid pick-up for a little less than $30. Black Ridge is a small batch bourbon bottled by the Clear Springs Distilling Co in Louisville, Kentucky. 90 Proof and it's aged between 5-6 years in the barrel.

Aroma wise it has a sweet and light smell. Drinking it neat, it was pretty smooth for it being a 90 proof bourbon. Hints of cinnamon and walnut on the finish. Once you put some ice in it though the bourbon does not hold up and the flavors go missing. Drink it neat, and as I said, it's a solid purchase for a bourbon that costs a little less than $30.

Cheers.
